My parents moved back home to Buffalo River Country in 1991 when they purchased a small country store and motel. I started out booking and cleaning rooms for our family endeavor when I was 13. 30 years later, I’m hosting rental property and Airbnbs with family and friends in the Buffalo River area, Harrison, and adjacent to the Ozark National Forest on Sylamore Creek. I’ve shuttled cars and canoes for my family’s concession service and managed the office operations of the largest concessioner and lodging provider on the middle river. I’ve owned and operated Big Springs Restaurant in Saint Joe for 18 years, but started a side hustle as an Airbnb host about 5 years ago.
After working to become an Airbnb Superhost, I was offered a freelance gig as an Airbnb Ambassador in 2021. Ambassadors walk new hosts through setting up their first listing on the platform, offering support by giving advice and recommendations, drawing heavily on their own experiences in hosting. I’ve helped hundreds of hosts start their hosting journey, and would love to help you, too.
