Lots of our guests are looking for pet-friendly lodging. I love these covers for preventing doggos from tearing our couches with their nails or getting hair everywhere. These have held up well and aren’t completely ugly.
These are my go-to chairs in the restaurant. I prefer to use vintage finds, but they’re often too lightweight for the heavy use they get. These are perfect: they come in a lot of colors and are easily spray-paintable, plus they can be used outside as well as inside.
Note: I recently read a review that these aren’t great for large-framed people. I’m looking for an alternative that I like.
I actually found individual pieces of this cookware at TJ Maxx and bought it because it matched our aesthetic at the farmhouse. They held up so well that I went and found them on Amazon and put them in the other rentals that have stoves as well.
If you’re comfortable with either leaving your door code the same or changing it manually, these are the locks for you. It’s what we have at our houses and The Loft. They’re less confusing than the deadbolt type, and the batteries last a really long time, like a year at least.
If you want to automate new codes for guests, this is the only lock for you. It sends a code that it generates directly to your guests. I’m happy to set this up for you if I’m co-hosting your listing, but I’ve read several reviews that this lock requires a stable wifi connection to work reliably. This will be your best bet for higher security with less effort.
Ah, the eternal sheet debate. Personally, I love the old-fashioned feel of Percale sheets. I know a lot of people like microfiber, so I’ll link some of those that we’ve had good luck with as well, but THESE ARE BETTER.
You definitely need a hairdryer. It helps you show up in search results. I don’t know why. I don’t make the rules.
Airbnb says guests want irons. So we get an iron.
Update: I flew to San Francisco last week and stayed in an Airbnb. I only took a carry-on, and I was very glad to have an iron. So yeah, get one.
I love a vintage look, these tumblers have that and are unbreakable. You’ll need 1 of each for each guest, so 1 set will do most spaces, with backups.
Classic white dinnerware, and it has all the pieces you’ll need. I love to shop thrift stores and vintage pieces for my spaces, but this set is an easy, all-in-one solution.
This set can go in the oven but does triple duty as serveware and food storage.
These are just so classic. I had this pattern at my house for 20 years.
This is a good inexpensive option; TJ Maxx almost always has a good selection of middle quality knives at low prices, if you have time to shop a little.
You can absolutely grab an inexpensive set of cutting boards anywhere. I encourage you to buy one locally. We carry some at Big Springs, Wissican Woods in Leslie has great options, as does Blue Mountain Woodworks in Timbo.
I don’t actually own this quilt set, but I plan to order some when my bedding needs replaced in my rentals. Quilts are so much easier to wash than comforters that I’ve moved in that direction. This one also comes in several colors, and lends itself toward dressing up with throws and decorative pillows.
